Fire at Mountlake Terrace country club causes $60K in damage

MOUNTLAKE TERRACE, Wash. — A fire at a Mountlake Terrace country club Sunday afternoon caused thousands of dollars in damage.

South County Fire crews responded to the Nile Country Club around 12:20 p.m. Sunday and found club employees spraying water from a garden hose onto a fire outside the kitchen. Firefighters quickly got the fire under control and no one was hurt.

The damage from the fire is estimated at $60,000, according to South County Fire officials.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Nile Country Club is located in the 6600 block of 244th Street SW in Mountlake Terrace.
